Exactech Innovations Presented at International Scientific Conference

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – October 12, 2016 – Exactech, Inc. (Nasdaq: EXAC), a developer and producer of bone and joint restoration products for hip, knee, shoulder and spine, today reported that studies involving its knee and shoulder joint replacement innovations and its ExactechGPS® guided personalized surgery system were featured at the 29th Congress of The International Society for Technology in Arthroplasty (ISTA) in Boston, Massachusetts.

The studies presented by orthopaedic surgeons and Exactech engineers and scientists included a presentation, “Benefit of Modern Navigation System in Total Knee Arthroplasty” by Jung-Dong Chang, MD, PhD, who was honored as an ISTA Invited Faculty member from South Korea. His study of 272 total knee replacement surgeries using the Optetrak Logic® knee system, supported by the ExactechGPS computer-assisted surgery system, demonstrated accurate and reproducible results in terms of joint implant alignment and implant position.

Additional studies featuring Exactech technologies include the following:
